These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Visitor”, “you”) and Mythic Harmonies (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of the Site.

2. About Mythic Harmonies

Mythic Harmonies is a creative project based in Belgium, dedicated to producing and sharing:

4.2 Permitted uses (what you may do)

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

4.3 Prohibited uses (what you may NOT do)

Without our prior written consent, you may NOT:

  • Reproduce or republish entire articles, in whole or in substantial part, on any other website, blog, publication, social network, or platform
  • Use our music in commercial projects: films, video games, advertisements, paid YouTube videos, TikTok monetized content, podcasts with sponsors, livestreams with monetization, or any context where money is generated directly or indirectly from our work
  • Modify, remix, mash up, or create derivative works from our music compositions
  • Re-upload our music to any platform (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, file-sharing networks, AI training datasets, etc.)
  • Use our music for AI/ML training: our compositions and recordings may not be used to train, fine-tune, or otherwise inform any artificial intelligence model, dataset, or generative system
  • Use our name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or affiliation
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract content using automated tools without our explicit permission
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile any code, structure, or interactive feature of the Site
  • Use the Site or its content in any unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or misleading context
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, attribution, or watermark
  • Frame, iframe, or hotlink our content from third-party websites without permission

4.4 Licensing for commercial use

4.5 Third-party intellectual property

References to Norse mythology, Viking history, and Old Norse texts (Poetic Edda, Prose Edda, Hávamál, Völuspá, Grímnismál, etc.) draw from public-domain sources. Where modern translations, scholarly works, or copyrighted images are referenced, sources are credited within the relevant articles.

If you believe any content on our Site infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work or right you claim has been infringed
  • The specific URL on our Site where the infringement allegedly appears
  • Your contact information
  • A statement made in good faith that the use is not authorized

5. User-generated content (comments and submissions)

5.1 Your responsibility

5.2 License you grant to us

By submitting comments or content to the Site, you grant Mythic Harmonies a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute your submission in connection with the Site and our promotional activities.

You retain ownership of your content but acknowledge that we may need this license to display your comment publicly, quote it in newsletters, or share it on social media as a representative example.

5.3 Moderation

We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to:

  • Use anti-spam tools (Akismet) that may automatically filter suspected spam

Decisions regarding moderation are final. We do not provide advance notice or justification for moderation decisions.

6. Newsletter

  • You acknowledge that you can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in every email

We use MailerLite as our email service provider. By subscribing, you also agree to MailerLite’s terms (your email is stored on their GDPR-compliant servers).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any subscriber’s access to the newsletter for abuse, repeated complaints, or violation of these Terms.

The Site contains:

16. Severability

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, internet outages, hosting provider failures, cyberattacks, or pandemics.
